David Johnson is Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Genexa, the first clean medicine company. Genexa makes medicine with the same effective active ingredients people need, but without any artificial fillers like artificial dyes, flavors, preservatives, and common allergens. Genexa believes in putting People Over Everything® and is on a mission to revolutionize the medicine aisle. 
 
Born and raised in a family of naturopathic practitioners, Mr. Johnson has been involved in natural approaches to healthcare his entire life. After he started his own family in 2010, he was truly surprised by the ingredients found in most children’s OTC products. Seeing the need to create something that was not only safe and effective, but that also comported more with his family’s values, he co-founded Genexa in 2014.
 
Earlier in his career, Mr. Johnson held positions as Assistant and Head Chef in the restaurant industry before serving in the elite paratrooper’s unit of the army. Upon finishing his service, he moved to Los Angeles to manage the operations of Sentry Financial Services, a successful and well-established wealth preservation and strategy firm.
 
He is an alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Asheville and the Asheville North Carolina Culinary School.
