Courtney Claghorn, Co-founder of SUGARED + BRONZED, established the company out of her apartment as a side job in 2010 with a total of $1,000. She was motivated by the lackluster quality of existing spray tan services, so she and her husband Sam started S+B, which quickly became a beauty industry favorite with a dedicated clientele that ranges from monthly members to A-list celebrities. 
 
Ms. Claghorn's shift from the corporate world to becoming a full-time business proprietor positioned her as a fourth-generation female entrepreneur. Over the past fifteen years, she has focused on growing the business and currently operates 40 locations, with 12 more per year planned. This year S+B will celebrate its 15th anniversary, open its 45th store, employ over 550 individuals, and exceed $50M in annual revenue.
