Charlotte Cruze is pursuing her lifelong calling to help others feel their best. After leaving a successful career in digital media advertising, she enrolled in New York University’s food studies master’s program, learning about the flaws and access issues within our food systems and the vital importance of educating consumers about what they eat. Eventually she ran operations for Quinn, a New York City-based organic on-demand meal kit service, and led growth for TBH, a better-for-you vegan Nutella alternative.

As a former picky eater and mycophobe, Ms. Cruze believed that food—especially healthy food—should be a source of happiness. As a long-time yoga practitioner, she felt deep appreciation for the mind-body connection. And as a newly minted food and wellness authority, she understood the power of mushrooms and wondered how they might strengthen that connection in a way that could make people happy. Chocolate was the answer.
