Founded by Colette Laxton and Mark Curry in 2018, The INKEY List was born from a belief that better knowledge powers better decisions. With a passion for sharing knowledge and education, Mr. Curry began his career as a microbiologist virologist and a science teacher in London. While taking a brand and business course on the side, his next chapter landed him a job at Mars and subsequently at healthcare powerhouse Boots – learning the ins and outs of how to run and futureproof a business. With many mentors along the way, Mr. Curry was perfectly placed to start his own business. After leaving Boots, he turned to entrepreneurship and created his own path as a director of multiple innovative start-ups. With a consistent drive to experiment and take risks, he was never shy to fail and had a few businesses under his belt prior to The INKEY List. Mr. Curry is a big believer that creativity fosters the economy, so he created one brand then another then another, until he had a multi-brand business.
