Aurelian Lis is Global Chief Executive Officer of Dermalogica, a subsidiary of Unilever Prestige. For over 30 years, Dermalogica has been committed to elevating the skin care industry through providing world-class education to professional skin therapists and salon owners, as well as cutting-edge, professional-grade products that deliver results. Since 2016 the company has embarked on a digital transformation that has redefined the brand. Its FaceMappingĀ® technology is just one of the many examples.
Before joining Dermalogica in 2016, Mr. Lis spent nearly six years at Benefit Cosmetics, an LVMH company. As General Manager of the Americas, he held responsibility for full profitability of the United States, Canadian, Mexican, Brazilian, and Chilean business, including sales, company boutiques, home shopping, e-commerce, marketing, public relations, visual merchandising, training, and digital marketing. In 2014 Benefit Cosmetics surpassed $1B in sales worldwide.
Prior to his tenure at Benefit, Mr. Lis was President and Co-founder of PRESCRIBEDsolutions, a customized skincare line distributed through the offices of 500 dermatologists and plastic surgeons. Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer of Commerce for dELiA*s Corp., where he was responsible for five e-commerce websites including dELiAs.cOm. During his time there, he implemented management, human resource, and technical systems as the company raised $100M in an IPO. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lis worked for Unilever PLC in a variety of strategic, operational, and sales capacities focusing on brands including Elizabeth Arden, Cerruti, and Lagerfeld. He also held a number of board positions on trade associations such as the Duty Free Confederation.
Mr. Lis received a master of business administration from INSEAD and was awarded a first class honors degree in physics from St. Peter's College, University of Oxford.
