David Moatazedi joined performance beauty company Evolus as President and Chief Executive Officer in 2018. In the past five years, Evolus achieved regulatory approvals in the United States for the company’s flagship product Jeuveau® and in Canada, Europe, and Australia for the brand Nuceiva®. Jeuveau® is a modern, edgy brand targeting a younger consumer demographic.

Under Mr. Moatazedi’s leadership, Evolus partners with injector customers, helping them grow their practices through cutting edge digital marketing tools. In 2022 Evolus achieved revenues of $149M, representing 49% growth over the prior year, and has been the fastest growing brand in the category for two consecutive years. Evolus aspires to achieve $500M in global revenue by 2028 for its current brands and plans to build out its portfolio of aesthetic products in the near future.

Mr. Moatazedi formerly served as Senior Vice President of U.S. Medical Aesthetics at Allergan, leading the aesthetic portfolio of brands, including Botox® Cosmetic, JUVEDERM® Collection, CoolSculpting®, Latisse®, among others.

He has nearly twenty years of commercial and executive experience building multiple market leading brands. He also led several acquisitions for Allergan, including LifeCell™ for $2.9B and ZELTIQ® Aesthetics for $2.5B. Prior to his thirteen years at Allergan, he spent six years at Novartis Pharmaceuticals.

Mr. Moatazedi holds a master of business administration in marketing from Pepperdine University and a bachelor of arts in chemistry from California State University, Long Beach.
