Speaker Bio

Gaëlle Drevet has always championed an authentic and intimate relationship with fashion. From a young age, she was captivated by the world of style, constantly seeking inspiration from fashion magazines, runway shows, and the vibrant street styles around her.

When the native French-turned-New Yorker founded The Frankie Shop, she did so with the intention of serving women for whom looking good meant looking like themselves. As soon as it opened its doors in New York’s Lower East Side in 2015, The Frankie Shop became synonymous with smart, oversized suiting: the totem style of a now signature aesthetic rooted in empathy and unfettered self-expression. Her creative pursuits imbue the urban New York way of life with a French twist, resulting in an aesthetic for her brand that replicates the DNA of her own winding path.

After earning a journalism degree in France, Ms. Drevet began her career as an intern at the Village Voice, later being hired by ABC News. Her fearlessness and tenacity fueled a successful journalism career. Her intense curiosity and drive in chasing down answers aided her in her fashion pursuits, helping her identify gaps in the fashion landscape and making her an expert in driving audiences to her business.

Since its launch, the Frankie brand has organically blossomed by attracting the favor of industry influencers and editors. The Frankie Shop now has retail stores in New York and Paris, with plans to expand to London next year, dressing some of the best-known personalities of our time.
