Annie Young-Scrivner is Chief Executive Officer of Wella Company, one of the fastest growing global brand companies in the beauty category with a portfolio of professional and retail hair, nail, and beauty tech styling tools. In her role, Ms. Young-Scrivner is responsible for accelerating the company’s growth ambition and unlocking the full potential of its portfolio, which includes Wella Professionals, OPI, ghd, Briogeo, Sebastian Professional, Clairol, and Nioxin. She brings a deep understanding of global markets acquired through extensive experience driving transformation across consumer-centric brand companies. Ms. Young-Scrivner is leading Wella Company as both a purpose and performance driven organization with DEI and ESG at its core. Her passion extends to developing talent and fostering a high performance culture where people can bring their best selves to work and thrive.
Prior to Wella Company, Ms. Young-Scrivner served as Chief Executive Officer of Godiva Chocolatier and held roles at Starbucks, where she was instrumental in the turnaround of the company’s business performance. Starting her career at PepsiCo, and throughout her almost 20-year tenure, she held positions in marketing, sales, and general management, working in 30 different countries worldwide.
Ms. Young-Scrivner currently serves on the boards of Yum! Brands and Wella Company. She and her husband lead the Young-Scrivner Family Gifting Fund focused on supporting women’s initiatives and under-privileged youth.
She is an undergraduate of the University of Washington and holds an executive master of business administration from the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota. Her executive education training includes Yale School of Management, Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, and IMD in Switzerland.
