Speaker Bio
Lauren Singer is Chief Executive Officer and Founder of the world’s first and largest zero-waste lifestyle shop, Package Free Shop, as well as Founder of the internationally known media platform Trash is for Tossers. She first went viral for fitting all the waste she had generated (over eight years now!) into a single mason jar. Now, through her latest endeavors with Package Free, Ms. Singer is set to bring this movement to the masses. Package Free launched in 2017 and has already diverted over 100 million units from entering landfill.
At just 29 years old, her cross-category sustainability experience, including government, CPG, and media, has redefined what it means to be a successful chief executive officer; proving it is possible to build businesses based off of your values. She teaches others that minimizing their environmental footprint is simple, cost effective, timely, fun, and entirely possible for everyone and anyone.
Ms. Singer was featured in this year’s Forbes’ 30 under 30 and gave a TEDx talk in 2015. Her mission has been covered in Harper’s Bazaar, The New York Times, ABC News, DORÉ, and Teen Vogue.
