Speaker Bio
Deepica Mutyala, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Live Tinted, is a South-Asian American beauty entrepreneur on a mission to champion multicultural beauty through community, conversation, and products. Ms. Mutyala further aims to dismantle colorism industrywide, listening to and leveraging the powerful collective voices of her Live Tinted community.
Ms. Mutyala rose to the forefront of the beauty industry in 2015 when her YouTube video depicting a beauty hack to cover dark undereye circles using red lipstick went viral, now boasting more than 10 million views. She became a celebrated on-air beauty expert, YouTuber and, most importantly, activist campaigning for minority representation in the beauty category. It was this commitment that spurred the founding of Live Tinted, a digital platform, in 2018. In 2019, Live Tinted released its first product to address the community’s common skin concerns, namely dark circles, dark spots, and hyperpigmentation. The Huestick, an eye, lip, and cheek multistick that balances skin tone, was born and became a bestseller, selling out almost immediately and amassing a 10,000-person waitlist.
Ms. Mutyala continues to expand Live Tinted’s offerings through community-driven launches, most recently with SUPERHUE, the brand’s first skincare product to combat hyperpigmentation across all skin tones, especially melanin rich hues. She also is partnering with BarbieStyle to create a one-of-a-kind doll, the first ever South Asian Barbie, along with a limited-edition Origin Huestick in BarbieStyle packaging.
