Jared Friday the Performance Outdoor Manager for Zappos.com, the leading customer service and e-commerce company. In his role, Friday oversees the Outdoor Footwear category and is responsible for managing a portfolio of associated brands. As a Buying Manager, Friday executes product orders, analyzes/manages stock levels, and manages the maintenance of products, vendor relationships, and profit analysis. He also acts as a mentor for junior Buying team members.

Having joined the Zappos Family in 2009, Friday’s previous role with the company was a Mechanizing Assistant. Prior to that, Friday worked in the outdoor space for companies including Aspen Skiing Company and REI. He graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor’s degree in International/Global Studies.

Friday naturally aligns work with play – in his free time, he can be found in the outdoors enjoying one of various favorite sports, particularly skiing (did we mention he was a past ski instructor?!).
